About the Show
A podcast for people who want to read more, but haven't figured out how yet.
I'll be honest: I'm not a big reader. I'm someone trying to become one. And along the way I kept running into the same questions:
- Where do you even start? A short book, or a long one?
- Does genre matter when you're just beginning, or should you go straight for the famous, must-read classics?
- And how do you measure progress? By pages, by minutes, or by simply showing up every day?
So instead of pretending I have the answers, I decided to ask the people who might: authors.
Each episode is a short, relaxed conversation (think 30 minutes over a coffee, a tea, or a beer) where I sit down with an author to talk about their book, the reads they'd recommend, and their honest tips for building a reading habit. Not the kind of advice that nudges or guilt-trips you, but the kind that actually encourages you to find your own way in and to, simply, do you.
The name says it plainly: teach me to read. My hope is that as I learn, you learn too, and that together we build the habit, one conversation at a time.
New episodes aim for about twice a month. (I've got a full-time job and a few side projects, so we'll see, but that's the goal.)
Whether you're a lifelong reader or, like me, someone just trying to start: pull up a chair.
